Steven, Tom and I cannot believe you are gone from us. We enjoyed you coming by and talking about politics, especially your views on current events. You were a true democrat, however it gave way for great conversation about Trump!
I cannot express in words, how I felt about you, Steven. You were a lost soul, yet trying to survive in a world turned upside down. Our Lord came to this earth and gave the ultimate price for our redemption. You expressed to me that you believe there is a higher power, even though it cannot be scientifically proven. Jesus has you covered, friend.
If I had known you were suffering these past few years, perhaps I could have offered comfort. Rest in Peace until we see you again. Tom and I have been grieving in silence and with a couple of friends, at your passing. We truly cared about you and will miss you, friend.

My kids and I lived next door to Steve for a couple of years. We stayed in touch after we had to move. He always suggested shows to watch and music that he loved. While Steve had a huge heart and cared more for others than his own self, he was so veey sad and struggled with anxiety. We always chatted about what he could do to change it or get help, but he was so darn stubborn. No matter what he was feeling, he always checked one those he cared about. I miss him very very much and pray that he is at peace and ease. Love you friend.

I have known Steven since first grade. He was always quiet but also very friendly. For the last 3 years I lived across the street. Steven always made fun conversations with my young twins. He made sure they were full of sweets and sugar soda at the 4th of July party. We visited him at work several times and he would come sit and talk with us. Even telling my boys how much he liked seeing them having fun on their bikes (while riding through his driveway puddle.) I always tell them to stop so they wouldn't hit a car, but Steven told them to keep having fun. We would see him walking through town and my boys would always say, "there is our friend!" We talked about my husband being deployed and he said several times that if I needed anything he would be happy to help. I truly hope Steven knew how much he meant to those around him and he will forever be missed.

I loved Steven with all my heart! He checked in on us as senior citizens all the time on facebook message just to be sure we were okay. A huge heart of kindness - too young, a good person for sure, I will miss him desperately - he would have never thought he meant so much. Steven - I know God has you in his arms, you are loved so much! Aunt Dette

I am very sorry to hear of Steven’s passing. He was a student of mine at SHES and always had a smile on his face. Prayers for the family. Sincerely, Verneda Edwards
