Denise Dawn Jenkins, 62, of Osage City, KS, passed away Sept. 25, 2019. Visitation 12:30 pm Oct. 1, 2019 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Denise was born Nov. 24, 1956 in Salina, KS to James Robert “Bobby” and Dalene Pearl “Sally” (Wyatt) Gatlin. She grew up in Chicago, moved to Bonner Springs after marriage, later to Olathe and in 2018 moved to Osage City, KS to be near family. Denise married John Richard Jenkins in Basehor, KS on Jan. 6, 1973. She worked for 27 years as an Ingredient Sample Manager for Dupont in Gardner, KS. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father. Denise is survived by her husband, John, of the home; her mother, Sally Wyatt, Ottawa, KS; children: Pam and husband Wes Baker, Olathe, KS, Sallee and husband Todd Schafer, Olathe, KS, John and wife Kim Jenkins, Gardner, KS, Leo and wife Jamie Jenkins, Casper, WY; siblings: Tesa Crownover, Gardner, KS, Misty Middleton, Richmond, KS and Andi Meek, Osage City, KS and ten grandchildren: Lauren Jenkins, Ivan Hughes, Dakota Broers, Jake Hughes, Landon Jenkins, Cali Hughes, Avery Baker, Max Jenkins, Jase Jenkins and Ian Jenkins.
