Losing a loved one is hard to take you at times feel helpless. But the bible gives us real comfort and hope here at:(Reve.21:4)"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore the former things have passed away." This loving promise tells us that one day we will no longer have to worry about dying. Isn't that a day to look forward too! I hope you were encouraged and believe that despite the condition this world is in now, there is a better future to come.

Dale was an amazing father figure for me when my own wasn't. He encouraged me to be a better person and do my best in all things. He taught me how to be the man I am. He always took special care of me, I guess he saw that even with all I had been through that there was still so much potential in me. I owe it to Dale and Chris for being my parents when my own gave up on me.

I am fortunate to have known and been able to be a part of his life. I will always have the happy childhood memories, the laughs, the long talks and the life lessons he taught me. His home was home to me, not for the walls or the roof but for me being able to have and be a part of a family that loved me even though they didn't have to.

To Chris and his family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am saddened that I wasn't able to come and show him the man I have become because of him. I owe it all to you both. Prayers for peace and the Lord's love to you. Until we are all reunited in Christ's embrace.

I had the honor of working with Dale and his wife Chris when they were house parents. I learned a lot from both of them. Dale was always willing to share his latest find in several different fields, whether health, nutrition or just things in general. He and Chris are very giving people and great to have as friends. We kept in touch over the years and, from time to time when they came into Lawrence, Chris would call me and ask if I had time to get together. It was always a pleasure to see them. He will be greatly missed.
