I’m so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. A significant loss for the entire community. I never would have made it through my first year of teaching at Spring Hill Middle without him. He took it upon himself to make sure I knew the ins and outs of the schedule. I had my classes where they were supposed to be because of Dick. If nothing special was going on for the day, he still came by to wave and say hi. What a sweet man. Betty Bartel-Davis Seiffer Hines

Newton family no one ever made more of an impact on every life he touched than Dick. I am just glad I and my family were a few of them. we loved him dearly. I know he is in heaven looking for a ditch to mow in the dark just to aggravate me. RIP Dick you will be missed. Sorry for your loss.

I will sure miss getting to deliver the mail to Mr. Newton, I always looked forward to visiting with him. I don’t remember how many times Dick gave me a ride or pulled my broken down truck in off the road into his barnyard. Of course, he always told his dog to keep an eye on me, but I appreciated his hospitality. My condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear hear of Dick's passing. Thoughts and prayers to his family at this difficult time. I remember Dick fondly from his days when Cheryl still worked in the lab.

VICTORIA A LOVEALL

Posted at 03:03pm
Dick was always just like my dad, calling me "VICTORIA! whenever he saw me. Actually, he was my weekend dad, since this city girl spent so many weekends growing up, bugging him, because I stole away his girls to go ride ponies for hours upon hours. I so admired his outlook on life, the love he gave his family, and the friend he was to most everyone he met. Another of that special generation gone... So lucky I was to be one of the one's whose life he touched and shaped with his own. Hugs to my Newton family.
