Betty June Weaver, 84, of Gardner, passed away May 6, 2018. Visitation 10:00 am Fri., May 11, 2018 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS (913) 856-7111. Graveside service follows at 11:00 am at Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Betty Weaver Memorial Fund to cover funeral expenses. Betty was born June 2, 1933 in West Plains, MO to William Earl and Laura E. (Bradley) Stanford. She married Glen Weaver April 4, 1959 in Miami, OK. Betty was a clerk at Price Chopper; had worked at the Eagle’s Lodge in Olathe for seven years in the 60’s and 70’s and at Puritan Bennett as an assembler from 1980-1992. She had lived in Gardner for the last 22 years and in Olathe before that. Betty was a member of High Street Baptist Church, Springfield, MO and a member of the VFW Auxiliary #2993 in Olathe, KS for 61 years. She enjoyed her garden and flowers and loved her grandkids. Betty will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen, in 1965; stepchildren: Pat Roberts and Sharon Crownover; two brothers and three sisters. Betty is survived by her daughters: Pamela Robinson, Midland, AR, Beverly Weaver, Gardner, KS, Rita Weaver, Gardner, KS, Penny Eaton, Olathe, KS; stepchildren: Glenda James, and Gail Maroles, both of Olathe, KS; sister, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
