Bonnie Evelyn Meyers, 88, of Spring Hill, KS passed away in her home on Nov. 23, 2017. Funeral will be held 11:00 am Thur., Nov. 30, 2017 at Bruce Funeral Home, Spring Hill, KS (913) 592-2244. Burial follows at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00 am Thur., Nov. 30, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Bonnie’s great-granddaughter, Evelyn JoAn Dilts. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com

Bonnie was born May 2, 1929 in Fayetteville, AR to Willie B. and Lena (Wages) Duncan. She lived in Arkansas and moved to Conway Springs, KS as a young girl. Bonnie married Kenneth L. Meyers on June 25, 1947 in Wichita, KS. After marriage they moved to Kansas City, Kansas and to Spring Hill, KS in 1965. In 1973 she started working for Kuhns Grocery in Spring Hill. After it was sold in the 1980’s, Bonnie started working as an Assistant Manager for the Apple Market in Spring Hill. She retired in 1989. Bonnie was a member of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church. She loved reading, enjoyed Gospel music and Old Country Western music. One of Bonnie’s favorite pastimes was attending grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s events. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth in 2010; siblings: Ilean Lance, Robinette Chadwick, Robert Duncan, Lora Gwinn and William Duncan and one great granddaughter. Bonnie is survived by her children: Ronald and Debra Meyers, Olathe, KS, Alan and Mary Lynn Meyers, Medicine Lodge, KS and David and Diane Meyers, Olathe, KS; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
