Sheryl Ann (McCreary) Harmon, 57, of Spring Hill, KS passed away July 16, 2017 at Olathe Med Ctr. Visitation 9:00 am Fri., July 21, 2017 with Funeral at 10:30 am all at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS (913) 856-7111. Burial follows at Gardner Cemetery. Sheryl was born Dec. 6, 1959 in Olathe, KS to Richard Leigh and Billy Claire (Hardy) McCreary. She grew up in Olathe where she graduated from Olathe High School in 1978. Sheryl was listed in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students.” She received her Police Dispatching Certificate from JCCC in 1980, Emergency Medical Technician Certificate from KCMO Fire Dpt. in 1983 and an Information Management Certificate from Wright Business School in 1997. She married Kelly B. Harmon on Nov. 1, 1991 in Overland Park, KS and they moved to Spring Hill in 2003. Sheryl worked as a Records Clerk for the Johnson Co. Sheriff’s Office from Sept. 1979 to Nov. 1980, as Security Dispatcher at Menorah Medical Ctr. from April 1981 to April 1984 and as Dispatcher for the Kansas Highway Patrol from May 1984 to Aug. 1996. Sheryl enjoyed fishing and raising her beautiful Dahlias. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Kelly, of the home; father, Richard McCreary, Gardner, KS; sister, Janna McCreary, Olathe, KS; nephew, Dustin Shaffer, Olathe, KS and her special dog, “Sierra.”
