Obituary for Edna Caenen

Edna  Caenen
Edna Mae (Royer) Caenen passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus on the evening of March 29 surrounded by her family at the Lynn Farm. Funeral service will be 10:30 am Monday, April 2, 2018 at Olathe Christian Church, 1115 S. Ridgeview Rd., Olathe, KS 66062. Visitation before the service at 9:30 am. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Palliative & Hospice Care or Pathway to Hope, Olathe. Arrangements by: Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner 913-856-7111. Edna was born to Ora E. and Edna (Ware) Royer on Dec. 29, 1927. She attended Ruhl Hartman High School in Waldo, where she was a cheerleader. She then graduated from Shawnee Mission (North) High School after the family moved to Shawnee, KS when she was 17. In 1947, she married the love of her life William (Bill) R. Caenen. They were blessed with four children. Edna was a member of Olathe Christian Church, she loved being in the O.W.L.S. Bible study. She loved giving and praying for others. Edna was a good and loving mother, grandma, Mema, sister and friend. Edna had a dry sense of humor and loved a good joke! She enjoyed working on puzzles, playing dominoes and painting. Her husband would have been so proud of the business woman she became after his death. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Edna was preceded to her heavenly home by her son, Robbie; great grandson, Baby Jacob Lynn; son-in-law, Michael Arneson and grandson, Jeff Lynn. She is survived by her brother, Dusty and Jan Royer; daughters: Lana and Lloyd Lynn, Paula and Terry Brock and Claudia Arneson; grandchildren: Shellie and Jim Lehman, Robert and Angie Lynn, Michael and Carla Brock, Kevin and Kristy Brock, Stephanie and Trey Davis and Jennifer Arneson; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews and her dog, Mickey.
