Audrey Wolfe
Audrey Adele Wolfe, 82, of Edgerton, KS passed away February 9, 2018. Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 18, 2018 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS 66030 913-856-7111.
Inurnment at St. Columbine Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton, KS. Visitation 10:00 am before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or Catholic Community Hospice, 9740 West 87th St., Overland Park, KS 66212. Audrey was born March 3, 1935 in Belleville, IL to Leo Valentine and Anna Katherine (Horn) Metze. She graduated in 1952 from Richmond High School, Richmond, KS. Audrey married Herbert Wolfe on Sept. 5, 1953 in Richmond, KS. She worked for Businessmen’s Assurance, Pyramid Life as a Supervisor for 13 ½ years and Employers Reinsurance Corp in the Word Processing Dept., retiring July 18, 1997. Audrey was a member of American Business Women’s Association, Edgerton Planning Commission, Joplin Sweet Adelines and the Nu Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a “snowbird” who wintered at Punta Gorda, FL. Audrey was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Edgerton, KS, Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, KS and Sacred Heart in Punta Gorda, FL. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children: Glenda Jeanine (Ken) Williamson of Norwalk, IA, Brady Joseph (Leslie) Wolfe of Overland Park, KS, David Jeffrey (Kathleen) Wolfe of Lenexa, KS and Shelley Joan (Duane) Fleer; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
