Obituary for Ruth Ann Hadle
Ruth Ann Hadle, 77, of Gardner, KS, passed away July 16, 2017 at Baldwin Health Care and Rehab. Funeral service 10:00 am Thurs., July 20, 2017 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS (913) 856-7111. Burial follows at Gardner Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wed., July 19, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Historical Museum or the Johnson County Fair. Ruth was born Feb. 11, 1940 in Mountain View, MO to Lester and Myrtle Ellen (Reese) Hamilton. Her family moved to Olathe in 1949 from Missouri. She married Fred Hadle on June 1, 1962 in Olathe. They settled at the Hadle Family Farm in 1970. Ruth worked for 27 years as a legal secretary; 17 of those years with Park McGee. She was a member of P.E.O. in Olathe and later joining the Gardner club, F.C.E. Club of Olathe and active in 4-H for 15 years where she served as Community and Project Leader for Prairie Star 4-H Club. She served on the JoCo Fair Board for over 30 years and was “the first woman president.” Ruth served on the Farm Service Agency Board for eight years and volunteered at the Gardner Historical Museum. Ruth was a woman who loved to help others as shown by her many hours of volunteer work. She was devoted to her family and to the study of the Bible. She taught Sunday School and led many Bible Studies. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Samuel and James Hamilton. Ruth is survived by her husband, Fred, of the home; daughter, Janelle and husband Marcus Sanders, Paola, KS; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with two on the way.
