Obituary for Margaret Wilson
Margaret Jean “Sue” Wilson (nee Liddle), 89, passed peacefully in her family home on March 7, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 20, 2017 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 9595 W 95th St, OP, KS 66212. A private family burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. She was born July 6, 1927 to Ernest Clifton and Frances Lenore (Moss) Liddle in Omaha, NE. She graduated from Westport High School in 1945, and attended Kansas City Junior College. Sue married Joseph R. Wilson on December 27, 1948. After living in Merriam, KS, Pittsburgh, PA and Piedmont, CA, they spent 17 years living abroad in Vienna, Austria and enjoyed traveling the world before retiring back to Kansas City. She remained very active in her church and her community, served as an Elder at Knox Presbyterian, and was inducted into the Lenexa Hall of Fame with the Community Service Award in 1994.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Sue is survived by her husband Joe, her five children Peggy Ann, Kimberly, Robert, Sarah and Tom and six grandchildren, Sabrina, Melody, Stephanie, Rebecca, Addison and Ben. She will be remembered as a kind, giving woman who exuded hospitality to all and was a shining example of unconditional love to her family.
